Hear Nathanael Talk / Babbles

This is an amazing milestone for Nathanael. We are all anxiously waiting for Nathanael to speak and to converse. Well in a baby little way, his babbling is part of his communication method in talking and conversing with us.

Check out this short video of Nathanael minutes before he drinks his milk. Mommie holds his bottle and we got the maid to call him and see how Excited he gets and he starts speaking/babbling non stop! :) hahaha ...

This is an amazing feat and we wanna Bless God for the continuous improvements that we see in Nathanael.

Nathanael's New Milestone - on the Swing + Walker

WE are combining a couple of videos that we have taken over the last two weeks to show you Nathanael's great progress in his development. We are really happy to see how he has been improving and we just wanna Thank GOD so much for His favor over Nathanael's life.

So you will be able to watch Nathanael achieve new Milestones in the video below as he goes thru the various exercises!! :)

You will see below that Zoe Joy gets involved in Nathanael's therapy, and we honestly believe that she will totally, 100% gain from it and develop even faster as a toddler who by the way has yet to turn 1! She gets to play (while ko ko exercise) during all of ko ko's therapy! :)

Zoe Joy wants everything that Ko Ko has.

Yes even his Swing!! So While Ko Ko is exercising to stand, Zoe Joy is sitting happily on

the other end!! Oh yeah .. that's their aerobic tights work out!!

NOT! After a work out.. what better way then to go for a Swim! :)

Nathanael Using the Walker as he makes progress in his

walking steps !! We are really happy to see this!

And this is a new learning milestone for Nathanael.

He is learning to lift his legs to learn to make BIG STEPS.

This will enable Nathanael to bend his knees and lift his leg, stand on one leg

and begin to climb stairs, and more! :)

Nathanael is looking for a Walker

So we are looking for a WALKER for Nathanael. We must say that Nathanael is improving so much in the last couple of weeks. You can now support Nathanael at his underarms and you will see him progressing in little steps ... as he walks in front!!

WE are ESTACTIC! Really Thank God for the good progress in his development! We are trying to put a couple of videos together and share it with you (hopefully in the next one or two posts!)

Having said that at both HUKM Physio Therapy Room and also at Bridges Early Internvention Programme School, he's been going on the Walker that they have available. And the walker is really helping him to make his walking steps more solid and firm!

A BRAND new walker would cost over RM1500! And we are looking for any second hand walkers that any of you readers may know or have... and if you are gonna sell it.. please let us know!

Today at the mall, we put Nathanael on one of the Toy Motorcycles.

And he sat up with such good posture.

Celebrating Chinese New Year 2008

Its Zoe Joy's first Chinese New Year celebration (sort of, cos she was borned during the 14-days celebration of CNY last year), so technically its her first! :) And this is Nathanael's 4th CNY celebration together with the family!

This is the best time to come together as a family and to EAT! Yups its eating all the way, and more and more eating, and more eating! :) Eating with the family, eating with the cousins, eating with the uncles and aunties. Just loads and loads of eating! :)

Nathanael Standing on the Swing

Nathanael's been exercising daily on his swing. Apart from sitting down and going round and round, moving sideaways and up and down .... is that he is made to stand to hold on to the ropes whilst moving him gently on the swing.

This will help him to improve his overall balance when he stands up. :)

Baby Aiden Pu is so cute. We managed to take a peep at him in the baby room of the hospital when we visited yesterday.

Praise God!! cos Karen said that it was a natural delivery and the entire time in labor was not that long. For more details ... speak to the PUs lah! :)

Handy Bergson made Nathanael his Swing

When we first posted up Nathanael's new sensory integration exercise, to be swung in cicular movement on a make-shift swing, we asked for help to build a swing.

We are so thankful for friends who read the blog, and friends who have the knowledge and skillset to help build one for Nathanael.

Bergson was telling us that he read about our plea for help to build a swing for Nathanael last week. And this weekend he popped over to build a swing for Nathanael! Just like that!!

BIG Thank You uncle Bergson!!

Making of Nathanael's Swing

[story by Nathanael]

The idea was to get this little U-shaped hook to be stuck firmly

in the ceiling, so that this would form the base structure to hand the swing.

[For the trained eye, you will know that this is the same hook used for the Ceiling Fan]

Placing the U-Hook up on the Ceiling, Bergson took some measurements

and immediately started drilling into the ceiling.

Thank GOD that Handy Bergson has all the canggih tools ...

Power Drill with Large Drill Bits to dig thru the concrete!

Poor Uncle Bergson, daddie didnt have a tall enough

ladder, so uncle Bergson had to stand on a tall chair in order to

reach the ceiling. And all the dust from the ceiling rained down

all over his hair and baju.

Using a special screw bracket, uncle Bergson locked the U-hook

up to the ceiling. He screwed it on really tight.

And ... Voila .. its done!

Uncle Bergson then bought a long metal chain and latched

it to the U-Hook!

Being super resourceful, uncle Bergson then put two

ply-wood together and screwed them tight. Following

that he sawed off all the four edges of the wood.

[Uncle Bergson so nice, he took off the corners cos he didnt

want it to hit and hurt me! TQ]

Then uncle Bergson bought some really strong ropes

and started doing his scout knots on the chain link.

[Uncle Berson said he bought the softer rope material

and again so that it won't hurt me!! Uncle Bergson so thotful!]

Then uncle Bergson drilled four holes into the wooden plank

and thread the rope thru it.

It was a good thing that uncle Bergson was a Scout,

cos all the knots tying came in really handy to secure

the wooden platform in place.

And finally the moment of truth!

Uncle Bergson put his entire weight on the swing to make sure it would

be seucure so that I will be able to swing without fear! :)

So cool lah uncle Handy Bergson! :)

So today i started my vestibular movement exercise on the Swing.

I was swung up and down, right and left and round and round

The swing is really cool, i can just sit here and

feel the movement of the swing going all around

Aiyoh!!! Then my exercise when to the next phase.

kakak will lift up the swing to a certain angle, and i had

to hold on to the ropes for dear life!!! (nice and soft ropes!)

So i guess its enuf for one day!!

Guess What???!!! Uncle Bergson was super nice!

He dropped by again today to put a layer of carpet on the swing.

How many swings do you know have Carpets?

I am really blessed. So now i can sit on the swing and

have a comfy stimulation! :)

Swimming without the round float

If we use the children's pool in our area, Nathanael can actually stand in the water and be above the water. So one of the things that we have been hoping he will release is the round float that's he's in.

We have always wanted to see if he could just go by with just the floaties on his arms.

Working Out in the Gym

We are thankful that our new place has a very nice gym area.

Occupation Therapy - Sensory Integration : How well can Nathanael balance?

We rekindled therapy sessions with Ms Teo again. When Nathanael was initially diagnosed with infantile spasm, we had a regular therapy session with Ms Teo.

Ms Teo is a Christian and practices physio and occupation therapy at home. Ms Teo also does a lot of sensory integration as well.

She was evaluating Nathanael's current progress and state that we need to continue to work a lot more on him, so that his motor development would continue to progress more and thus helping him overall.

One of the other things that we need to work a lot on Nathanael is his balance.

Ms Teo mentioned that his posture needs to further improve and that we need

to help him to start learning to balance and move in many many directions!

One new tool that Ms Teo is suggesting for us to set up is like a Swing Contraption.

(We need help .. any smart person out there who knows how we can build one for Nathanael?)

WE have get a board large enough for Nathanael to sit on and then tie the board

to a hook/lever and mount it on the ceiling. The purpose is so that Nathanael

will learn to balance when he is swung on it, and the best part is that apart from just going

one direction, we can turn it clockwise or anticlockwise and provide various turning

stimulations to help him in his vestibular and appropinception.

** So if any of you are as fantastic as Handy Manny ... give us a holler, we need your skills!! **

The kids were really blest during Christmas! Nathanael was blest with a Drumset from koko Ben!! Yeah knowing that Nathanael loves to hit with his hands, so he bought Nathanael a really cool looking set of Drums!

Bridges School for Nathanael is now a Classroom Concept

Nathanael attends the Bridges Early Intervention School, and for 2008 his sessions with Teacher Dolly will no longer be on One to One!

He will now learn to interact with other kids who are also attending Bridges and the things he learn will now be collective and with the group.

Devotion & Prayer with the Kids

One of the FUNNEST times we have as a family is just right before bed time. That's when we would play with the kids on the bed, tickle them ... laugh with them and just enjoy the merriment of being together as family.

We would then spend some time to read their Kid's Bible and then Pray and then sleep!

Nathanael & Zoe Joy really loves reading. They are always intrigued with

the cartoon characters in the Picture Bible. :)

WE pray that they will be blest even at this young age.

Nathanael's Balancing Board

Nathanael was pretty blessed during Christmas (we've not blogged about the kids' Christmas yet) .. and Nathanael was blessed from 5Ku Por & 6 Ku Por with a Balancing Board.

As part of Nathanael's therapy and daily exercise to stand,

we've added a one step up, to aid Nathanael to balance when he stands.

Nathanael still needs to learn to balance on his own, as you can see

he's still leaning on the door! So pray for him yah!!

Nathanael on the Swing

Nathanael is slowly getting better, thank you for your prayers. His appetite for food is still not good, as in he doesn't want to eat his bread and rice, so he's still on his RCF milk, which the doctor have asked us to increase the dosage twice to ensure that there's enough nutrients getting into Nathanael.

On the fourth day of his Stomach Flu, he recovered somewhat a bit, and we brought him down to our Condo's playground ... so that he could get some fresh air and also some simulation with the playground equipment.

Pity that it rain in the early morning, so the only thing i could dry was the swing ..... and here is Nathanael on the SWING. :)

Nathanael's having Stomach Flu

Nathanael at Damansara Specialist to see Dr Vasantha this morning.

He wasn't his usual cheerie self, but was whining all the time.

When we saw Dr Vasantha and infomed her of Nathanael's symptoms,

vomiting and no appetite to eat, she told us that this morning alone she

already saw 4 children with the same symptoms.

She said keep the kids out of Crowded area, cos the virus can be passed thru air.

So Dr Vasantha prescribed three medications for Nathanael.

Of the three, two are suppository (where it has to be inserted from the behind)

AND of course Dr Vasantha is also aware of Nathanael's Ketogenic Diet, so no medicine with syrup base or sugar content.

We were given Maxolon, which was suppose to stop the vomiting, Voltran which we normally use for fever, but Dr Vasantha said it will also help for his stomach spasms. And finally Zirtomax which is an anti biotic for Nathanael.

Nathanael still vomited another 3 more times after eating the medication in the afternoon and we are really glad to see towards the evening, when he started to act normally again, playful and grinning away, and laughing when we played with him

Even Zoe Joy was totally understanding of koko's sickness. In fact Zoe Joy is still suffering the end tail of the Stomach Flu as she still have diarrohea. But she's doing ok!

Continue to pray that Nathanael will be better tomorrow and that all food and milk intake will remain "in" and not be thrown out.

Mommie & Nathanel are not well ... pls PRAY

It all started with Zoe Joy yesterday. We dont know why but she vomited twice yesterday. And her bowels also let go ONE big time yesterday. Poor girl!! But she's much better today. :)

Then this evening, Nathanael just vomited four times within an hour. Since he's on the Ketogenic Diet and has water rationing, we stopped the water rationing, and we also stopped his routine meal intake.

Poor boy, after all the vomitting, he must be really tired, cos when we made him to lie down with mommie, he just doze of and slept! (Not normal and its not even 10pm yet!)

Then on top of that Mommie also vomited twice this evening. She started feeling unwell in the later afternoon, early evening. But mommie can drink 100 Plus (we hear that after throwing up .. drinking 100Plus replenishes your minerals inside.. so we always keep 100Plus in the fridge!)

So yeah .. the family is kinda not toooo well this weekend. Please pray for them ya!! Pray that daddie remains STRONG to take care of everyone!! :) hehe

Nathanael's Physio at HUKM

Just last Thursday Nathanael went for his weekly physio therapy at HUKM. He was put on two new exercise and therapy "equipments" to help in his balance.

Nathanael started off with the Walker to help him

to put strength in his legs so that he can learn to walk!

We're really glad that HUKM has great equipments and it

can be adjusted to fit different heights easily.

Next, Nathanael was put onto the Swinging Equipment.

You know how each time you sit on a swing, you need to balance yourself to

keep above the swing! :) Yeah ... so that's what Nathanael was taught to do.

We are glad to see him gripping the rope so tightly, cos it shows that he

knows that in order to balance he needs to hold on to something stable. :)

Haha ... see Cute Nathanael. He tries to give you the "frown" look.

He's been doing that a lot lately! :)

This is a Rope Bridge, and we can see its shaky and totally unlevel.

We're glad to see him learning to balance himself on it!!

Zoe Joy's first Climb (up steps)

This is a new milestone for Zoe Joy. Tiff managed to video her climbing up her first stairs!!

Tiff basically help show her how to put her hand up one stairs and then she picked it up automatically and began using her hands and legs in a climbing motion and cilmbed up the Stairs!!

See how happy Nathanael is, when he gets the opportunity to play with the Keyboard. We also recently realized that we need to get him some sort of a banging instrument.... yeah something like a drum .. but where u can beat with your hands .. Bongo ... or one of those things.

In HUKM the therapy centre has cool equipments that can adjust to my height. :)

I Can Reach the Bed now ...

Baby Zoe is growing up and growing tall really fast. She's learning to stand up longer and loves to stand.

Nathanael using Hands to Play with Cable

This is new milestone for Nathanael. Tiff managed to catch the entire epsiode on video.

Nathanael was sitting next to our coffee table and he picked up a cable (reading light cable), which happened to be lying next to the cable. Nathanael has recently learnt to pick things up (ie our handphones, things he likes).

So we were very happy when he picked up the white cable (which was about 2cm wide). And not only did he pick up the cable, he began to play with it, swinging it back and forth ... and totally enjoying himself!!

That's a great milestone, cos he's learning to pick up objects and to play with them.

Nathanael's Year End Bridges School Partee

School's Closed! Its Holiday Time!!

Big celebration all over Malaysia as all schools closed for 1 1/2 months. Likewise the Bridges Early Intervention Programme School will also be closed during the school hols!

Nathanael had a Year End School Partee last Saturday at Bridges!

One of the Church Elders gave an opening speech at the beginning of the

Bridges Year End Partee! He shared about how grateful he is to Dolly and the other helpers who volunteers to show their love and care to kids with special needs!

Then , one of the helpers introduced Zoe Joy to the world of Water Balloons

And it was here that Zoe Joy had her first Water Balloon

burst on her lap! :) hehe

At the partee, we also had a Fishing Game!

Really pity those fishes in the tub!! The helpers (people with palm prints on their back)

were giving the instructions on what to do.

The rule was u were to scoop the net and catch as many

live fishes as u can into another tub of water.

(Thankfully no animal activist were around!)

Zoe Joy had a go with the fishing game.

Kak Mas was preparing Nathanael for the Fishing expedition.

But when Nathanael's turn came, he was still quite upset! See his face! :)

Zoe Joy Driving Her First Car

Yesterday at church both Nathanael and Zoe Joy were enjoying themselves in the Toddlers Room.

Zoe Joy managed to drive her first CAR. It was rather cute, cos as she stuck her legs out, the only direction she knew how to push was forward thus the car went backwards. We unfrotunately missed that on video.

Nate & Zoe sent MA MA (grandma) off at KLIA

MA MA is going away for more than two weeks to USA. She's going to visit Kevin, Tawnya, Elijah & Noah at Grand Prairie, Dallas.

So on Deepavali nite, after our Jogathon, we took MA MA to the airport and help her check in her luggage and stuff. After that we spent some time with her before she departed into the terminal. Check out our farewell to MA MA.

When Nathanael is NOT Happy with his Standing Exercise

As part of Nathanael's daily phsyio therapy, he is required to exercise each day by standing on his own in order to strengthen his leg, knee and hip muscles. (Before all of these, I never knew it took so much effort and muscles to just stand up .. kinda make us take for granted how easy to jump up and walk around .... :)

This is one video where you do not see Nathanael smiling. In fact he's really really upset. He's not happy for the fact that he needs to stand so long, and to do it so often. I guess many times we don't realize what's the intention and the good of things that are good for us, eventhough as parents we explain to Nathanael how important it is for him to learn to stand and to exercise his legs in a standing posture.

See how he protest and shows his "color" when Mas (our maid) helps him and watches over him to ensure that he doesn't fall over.

Zoe Joy Feeding Herself BREAD .. YummY

Yes ... this is such an adorable video of Zoe Joy as she learns to feed herself. And she's doing lots and lots of crazy exercises nowadays, she practically climbs over anything and everyone. Her limbs are super flex and check out her split in the above pic!! :)

Now get ready to smile as Zoe Joy (first attempt) tries to feed herself with some bread. We have diced up the bread to make it easier for her to chew and swallow (her teeth are not out yet). And check out how she learns to pick up pieces of bread and puts it in her mouth!!

Nathanael learning to Draw

Nathanael is learning to use colors and paint and a canvas to put a picture together as part of his early development skills. Recently at Bridges Early Intervention School, teacher Dolly helped Nathanael to put design, color and create a Cake on canvas for Zoe Joy.

I think Nathanael successfully created an image which even the daddie cannot do!! :) Well done Nathanael and Teacher Dolly.

Nathanael & Zoe Joy's Contribution for the Social Concerned

We all did our part for the Social Concern today! We participated in the Jogathon / Fun Fair that was organized by our church at Jalan Barat Field (A&Ws ~ next to Amcorp Mall).

The youth and young adults were in charge of the game stalls and redemption booths and the gigantic inflatables.

Thankfully it rained last nite and not today, so we had pretty decent weather. The only unfortunate part was that some parts of the field were rather soggy!!

Praise God ... this date also signifies his first year on the Ketogenic Diet!

IF you remember last year, Nathanael's 2nd Birthday was spent in Hospital KL, with the Ketogenic Diet being administered to him, and he was hospitalized for a week!

THANK GOD ... after one year on the diet, we have seen such great improvements in

Nathanael's life and we wanna Give GOD all the Glory! :)

Ko ko celebrated his birthday a week before his actual birthday.

The reason was becos daddie's birthdae was two weeks before his and mah mah (grandma) birthday was one week before his. So to make it easy for everyone, we all met on mah mah birthday and celebrated together!! :)

daddie and mommie brought us all to Planet Hollywood! We wanted to check out some

hot celebrities! However .. those we saw were quite boring and unmoving; all mannequins!!

Ko Ko sat with Yeh Yeh and had a great time entertaining Yeh Yeh.

Mah Mah had darling little me. And I made sure Mah Mah took real good care of me!

Even the Planet Holly peeps joined in our celebration and

prepared one cake in front of mah mah ... cos it was mah mah's actual birthday!

Our daddie has been rather busy at work and mommie has been rather busy getting our new home in order. So that leaves the two of us with the overwhelming feeling to blog, however we haven't been taught on how to turn on the PC yet! :)

Nathanael holds and listen to the Sony Ericsson Phone

This is a "Praise The Lord" Photo!! For those of you who have not seen Nathanael for a bit, we are pleased to inform you that Nathanael has learn to hold on to one of his most fav toy (mommie's sony ericsson phone).

As you know all his fav music are stored on it, and now Nathanael has even learned to pick up the phone from the table/floor and hold on to it and listening to the music.

And yes Nathanael is very pandai, can switch hands and also use ONE hand to hold on to the phone.

WE are really thankful to see how Nathnael has progress and the simple steps of picking up a phone, holding a phone which many of us take for granted is the easiest thing to do ... but for Nathanael its a great development .... a milestone in itself to grasp on to an object that he likes!

Boo hoo ... daddie's sony ericsson's is the black K750i ... and u know what he doesn't like to hold on to my phone!! And this we also celebrate as a milestone; that Nathanael just doesn't pick up any object that makes sound .... PRAISE GOD!

1st year diet done! YAY!!

365 Days have come & gone! The year has flown by so quickly. Nathanael has been seizure free for the past 11 months! We just want to thank our Lord Jesus for the miracle work He has done in Nathanael’s life. It is a miracle that Nathanael adapted well to the diet….for all these times. (Can you can eat the same type of food 6 times a day……. and for 2 years?)

Quite an achievement I must say!

Well, by God’s grace we have reached the half way mark…Only 2,230 meals to go! A reason to celebrate! Thank you for your constant prayers….Nathanael is making remarkable improvements! He turns 3 years old in 4 days time.

This year 2007 proves to be a VERY special birthday celebration for us because his :-

1st Birthday – he still had fits and slept right through the entire party. We never even took a picture of him with his cake

2nd Birthday - was spent in the hospital initiating the Ketogenic Diet – so no party.

3rd Year Birthday – PTL!! He is fit free & doing well by God’s grace….thanks be to God who leads us in His triumph!

Nathanael & Zoe Joy learning their colors

Hehe .... each nite is beautiful bonding time for the whole family, where we play and pray together. We caught this cute scene last nite when mommie was showing the kids the different Colors for their learning & development.

One of the other great improvement for Nathanael is his speech development!

He is using more syllables each day, and we are extremely sure he will pop out his first word pretty soon!!

Nathanael sits up on his own!! WOO HOO!! A New Milestone

Really wanna thank GOD for the great works in Nathanael's life!! We've been coaxing and waiting for Nathanael to sit up on his own for some time.

And we are blest to see God's promise come to pass, when Nathanael sat up on his own over a month and a half ago!! This is such a great milestone!

He's sometimes shy and when try and capture his actions on video, he would not do it. So we are very happy to say that we finally managed to capture Nathanael sitting up on his own on video last nite.

Watch and see how he rolls his body to the side, and then using his right hands to push his body up to a sitting position!! Woo Hoo!! We are really really so so Glad!!

God is Great and we wanna give Him the Glory! :)

Nathanael can now Hold the Handphone (Milestone)

As many of you would know Nathanael loves music. And Tiff constantly plays music thru her SonyEricsson phone to either stimulate him or pacify him.

Recently another great feat that Nathanael has learnt to do is to take the handphone when you pass it to him. He quite pandai wan, can put it to either his left or right ear to listen to the song! :) haha ... He's very cute when he does that!

Nathanael can Commando Crawl (Another Milestone)

We are trully thankful to see strides of improvement in Nathanael's development lately. And we wanted to try can capture it on film so that u can rejoice with us and praise GOD for touching Nathanael!!

In the video below you will see Nathanael creeping (or Commando Crawl) to his favourite toy at home at great speed. He would normally cock his head to the side to listen when the toy is playing a song. And once the song ends, you can Nathanael making his way to the toy to press a button, to start another song.

And amazingly when we move the toy over the mat, watch how Nathanael creeps over the mat and reaches out to the Toy. Thank You Jesus for touching and healing Nathanael.

Good News! Weaning off Medication

Good News! Great News! No more medicine! YAY!

Both of Nathanael's doctors (Prof Ong & Dr Choy) has now recommended that we begin weaning off Nathanael's medication. Currently he is on Epilim 200mg BD and a Co-Factor called Carnitine.The entire process will take 3-4months. This is a crucial step we are taking. It's a BIG step of FAITH! We will have to monitor him closely.

Please continue to pray cos we will need all the prayers from U guys. As most of you who has been following Nathanael's journey will know that he has been placed under this special treatment called Ketogenic Diet for almost a year now. He will be on it till 2009.

We wanna thank God that Nathanael has showing tremendous improvements! We're so thankful. Each day he is so amazingly different. Each day is better! GOD is GOOD!

To all the parents out there whose child is on this diet.....we know it is not easy but PRESS ON-keep on persevering ya! Dun give up. Feel free to call or mail us. We would live to connect with you! :)

Nathanael Standing & Holding His Radio

Today our maid was helping Nathanael with his physio therapy. She made him stand by the door and got him to hold his little toy radio which Uncle Vic Su got him.

We want to thank God for this as he used to retaliate and refuse to use his hands. This is good as it helps his hands get used to weight bearing. This excercise will help strengthen his hands & fingers!

Every day is a new day, a NEW DAY for God to show us His miracles in Nathanael's life! :) Thank U JESUS!

This is excellent stimulation! Vestibular Stimulation!

We again want thank our Lord Jesus for touching Nathanael. YES!! We were so happy simply because Nathanael was not able to do that before! See he is even using his hands to hang on tight.....he was afraid at first but eventually he LOVED IT!

MILESTONE--Nathanael got up to sit on his own!

Thank you guys so much for praying for Nathanael! God is really amazing! Nathanael one day about 2 weeks ago decided to get up from a lying position to a sitting position! All on his own! That was amazing! Really! He did it like 8 times that day. ( It's a pity we couldn't catch it on video) --we'll try again! :)

BUT of late our cute little son has been abit laid back thus we need to prompt him to get up and sit. He is becoming more and more cheeky & playful! Also started to display the naughty side of him as well.

Please continue to pray for him ya! All your love & support keeps us going!

Early Intervention Programme

We love Bridges cos Nathanael has a One on One attention

with Teacher Dolly. And she's simply adorable and caring

and she tells us that she prays each time before Nathanael starts his class on

what "lessons" to teach him for that day!! Awesome!!

What else is better than an inspired and anointed school session!!

Wish all teachers did the same :)

Teacher Dolly used many many squishy balls

to let Nathanael experience the various textures

Teacher Dolly teaching Nathanael to pick up the balls

and to learn to Throw the balls.

*Teacher Dolly mentioned that if Nathanael can master the art of

throwing, it will greatly strengthen his shoulder and upper torso muscles*

And Teacher Dolly used the Squishy Balls and began

to make Nathanael laugh and squirm by rubbing it all over him.

Yeah lor .. like a Massage Therapy.

Where the balls would roll round and round and round :)

Yups and even on the Nathanael's Back!!

Young little boy already enjoying massages!! :)

Then using a simple Ice Cream Bucket and some ribbons & button

Nathanael was taught the art of pulling.

Grasp the button and hold on tight to it.

AND slowly use your hands to pull back, whilst holding the button

YAY!!! after much patience and guidance

A new Milestone - Nathanael's Babbling is more Audible

We are extremely delighted to hear Nathanael attempting to talk! This is definitely a BIG milestone on his next step in learning to speak. A M A Z I N G ! ! ! ! Praise God!

Mommie encourages him by copying him in his talking. Its really amazing and we Thank God for this awesome awesome milestone.

The talk is at a cute babbling stage and we know the next leap ahead will be when he begins to verbalize his words. :) Can't wait for that to happen!

Pls continue to pray along....in fact thank you all for praying along with us these past 2 years. It has been an awesome journey and we know that there are many of you who visit our blog regularly and are quietly praying for his developments!

A New Milestone for Nathanael Today whilst Swimming

The whole family went down to the pool today!

We had a fabulous time swimming.

Nathanael with Zoe and Kak Mas-our maid.

Zoe couldn't go into the pool, cos she's just recovering from her flu.

We tried Zoe Joy on the Bumbo seat, and she seats really well in it.

She's totally enjoying the ability to sit upright at 4+ months old.

Mommie was holding Nathanael's hands

and Daddie was helping Nathanael to kick his legs

as part of his Hydro Therapy

One good thing is that Nathanael is really enjoying himself

in the water, and you can see him smiling and playing in the water

Mommie was trying to coax Nathanael to Kick. So we would all say

"Kick, Kick, Kick"

AND Amazingly, today was the first time that Nathanael KICKED on his own

in the water. We thank GOD for these amazing Milestones ... :)

Nathanael's Balancing Act

Nathanael's Physio & Occupational Therapy at HUKM

The following photos shows a new learning

curve for Nathanael as he learns to BALANCE himself

on various Therapy Exercises

The Red Curvy thing is a semi circle to help "rock"

and create a moving sensation from right to left (side to side)

Nathanael has not begun ... and is giving his million dollar smile :)

Getting ready, he will sit and his therapist

will slowly rock the RED semi-circle to create

a movement to help Nathanael balance.

Then after a bit of the Sitting, Nathanael

is encouraged to STAND and to repeat the same

movement, so that he will understand the various

muscles that's required to keep balance!

** Actually God has created all of us so special, that we can stand, walk, jump

dance and just move about without actually thinking about it. Many times not realizing

that all the movements mentioned above, our brain and muscles are actually

moving together in motion with the body to keep us balanced and steady! God is Good!

Zoe Joy's Fever is gone, but Nose still Running

Holiday in Bangkok - Part Deux

We thought we better break the POST into TWO ... otherwise it may just cause your internet to have a TIME OUT! from reading the First One :)

PART DEUX ....

SHOPPPPPINNNNNGGG in Bangkok

It was the Amazing Thailand Sale that's happening over in Thailand.

Guess what??? No one in our hotel knew about it!! Ha Ha Ha!! Sigh!!

Baiyoke gave us a Free Shuttle trip to Siam Paragon! Need i say that Siam Paragon

is 10 times better than Suria KLCC, in terms of Layout, Retailers, Size, Food Outlets ... etc!

We took their Bubble Lift to get around the Siam Paragon.

We were so so so AMAZED at the variety of Children's Shoes that was

available at Siam Paragon! It was like WOW!! So so so many to choose from!

Err .. back home in Malaysia ... not that many. And surely not that nice designs too!

Wished we had the same variety in Malaysia too!!

There were just rows and rows and rows of Children's Shoes! :)

And then from Siam Paragon ... we also walked over to the infamous MBK

At MBK ... there are 7 Floors of Shopping, where you can get Clothes, Electronic Stuff,

Clothes, Handphones, Clothes and more Clothes!!! Some of the Clothes areas

can bargain too! :)

Another cooool place for Shopping was RIGHT OUTSIDE Baiyoke!

I mean the Thais had stalls everywhere in Bangkok. As long as you have a five-foot walkway,

they would set up a stall to trade business.

So we were pretty delighted to see Cheap Shopping outside Baiyoke!

YUPs ... we shopped and we found CARTERs for 90 Baht!

We should have BOUGHT a dozen and sold them for RM50 in Malaysia!

It was reallly cheap! :)

Being in Bangkok, I HAD to show Tiff the Best Hotel in the World ...

none other than The Oriental, Bangkok located by Chao Phraya River.

WE sat in the Oriental Bangkok's boat at the Saphan Taksin Sky Train stop

and sailed to the hotel.

As expected the Hotel was stunning and classic in its own way!

I managed to catch up with a colleague there as well too!

Digressing slightly ... just wanted to say that The Oriental Bangkok's brand

is jus everywhere. We saw them operating a F&B outlet at Siam Paragon

and another one at Central World Shopping Centre! Amazing!!

Guess where we went for Lunch?

Yups .. it was at the Oriental Bangkok ... next door! hahaha

We were off to the Pier to catch a Boat Taxi .. and we saw some

yummy food stalls next to the hotel and we makan there.

Tiff had the THAI Fried Rice with their Red Hot Chilli Peppers, it was

yummy-licious. And of course i stayed away from the spicy food!!!

Lunch was only RM30 baht per person (RM3)!!! Now that's Savings!

And we then took our Boat Ride up the Chao Phraya river heading to visit the King's Grand Palace, all for only 3.50 Baht (RM 0.35)

And we had nice seats that's next to the murky river .. which tend to splash up into our faces

each time we open our mouth to exclaim!!

We even had a Tour Guide who was explaining the sights and attractions in the 20 minutes

boat ride. Didn't understand a word of his Thai English accent!!

UNFORTUNATELY .. our wonderful Baiyoke Concierge didn't tell us ... NOT to visit the Grand Palace in the afternoon. WHY? Cos its closed!! So yes ... we took our wonderful boat ride all the way up to the Grand Palace stop, and was informed.

Sorry Palace closed. ... there's nothing to see!! Sigh!! Sigh!!! Double Sigh!!!

Although we didn't get to see the KING or his palace ... we had the luxury of

time to actually catch TWO movies in Bangkok.

First of all ... their CINEMAs ROCK!!!

Their Cinemas are new, nice, big, comfortable .. u name it.. they have it!

We noticed that the MOVIE industry seemed to be a pretty Big industry in Bangkok

Cos .. each shopping mall we entered, they all had their own BIG Cineplexes!! Amazing!

And the Cineplexes are HUGE!!

ONE Funny thing that happens while watching a movie is that ....

The Thais will play their National Antheme right before the movie!!

It was weird .. cos everyone STOOD UP for their National Anthem!!

Hmmm. .. i don't think it will ever work in Malaysia!!

We were very BLEST on our last two days in Bangkok to

meet up with Tiff's aunty. Aunty Hwee and her daughter Mary.

They became our guides and showered us with amazing Thai hospitality!

They brought us to so many place to makan.

And we ate and ate and ate!!

On our final day .. we went to Red Dragon Restaurant which boasts of the

LARGEST Chinese Dim Sum Restaurant in the World (see above pic)

We could see them preparing all the food! Tons and tons of DIM SUM!!

It was a super yummy DIM SUM BUFFET!!

The Dim Sum .. just came!

And kept coming. They came so fast, that they had to stack the

food on top of each other! And we tried to catch up with them

as the food came. BUT alas ....they WON!!

The waiter mentioned that those stacks of DIM SUM containers

were ours! We apparently ate more than 40!!! WAH LIAU!!!

It was a pretty LARGE Layout with interesting settings.

We had a room to ourselves equipped with Karaoke facilities, and there were

just DOZENS of these typed of rooms all over the entire Restaurants! Amazing!!

After FOUR wonderful days of FUN, we arrived back where we started.

At the Suvarnabhumi Airport!

The Airport was again HUGE!! With many counters.

We bid our farewell to Aunty Hwee & Mary.

Who ferried us all the way from Baiyoke to the Airport.

Inside the Thai Airport Duty Free Shopping, we found things that were on SALE

.. aiyoh .. everywhere-lah also got SALE SALE SALE ...

We are grateful for this wonderful holiday time together, and we cherish it!

Our Bangkok Holiday

First and foremost ... our deepest apologies for those of you who visit our Blog for the last month! We've been extremely busy with managing both Nathanael and Zoe Joy (but a JOY nevertheless), and busy migrating one of our blogs to its own domain (painful and tiring!) and of course trying to sell our Condo and prepare to move to our New One.

Well apart from the normal hectics of our daily chores and work, we are still managing pretty well! Thank U Lord for your grace. ... its the Amazing Grace! :)

Anyway... we booked our tickets way back in January (even before Zoe Joy) was born, and we thought it would be a pretty good idea! Guess what ? It turned out to be a GREAT IDEA!

We had an absolutely, fantastic, relaxing and fun time together in Bangkok for Four Days. Before going further, we have to say a BIG Thank you to Tiff's parents (Kung Kung & Po Po) who helped looked after Nathanael & Zoe Joy for that four days and also my parents (Yeh Yeh & Mah Mah) for helping to bring Nathanael for his Therapy session.

This would be a RATHER Long post .. with lots and lots of pics. (Cos we just don't have the time to break it up by Days or by any other Categories, though we would have love to!) SO let the post load .... and slowly read on.

Tiff and I had a wonderful time together in Bangkok. It was Tiff's first time away from Nathanael. Yups ...faithful and darling mother has been by Nathanael's side every since he was diagnosed with Infantile Spasm.

and this is our 4-Days story in Bangkok City!!

Our 500Baht Taxi Ride from Bangkok's New Airport to our Hotel

We stayed at the Baiyoke Sky Hotel

Its a 4-Star Hotel about 10 mins taxi ride from Siam Paragon

Its known as the TALLEST BUILDING in Bangkok with a Revolving Deck above!

This was our room! And Yes we stayed on the 40th Floor!

On a whole. The hotel is sigh ... not quite 4-Star!

But then again you're asking a hotelier to give his opinon!

The service was bad, the air in the corridor was stale, the place looked

rather dingy, and overall unimpressive. (will tell you about the food later)

Thankfully the Room was rather Large (at least 45sqm) and it was clean!

One RATHER interesting fact to point out. For any of you

future Baiyoke Hotel Guests .... don't put anyting into the SAFE!!

WHY? Because Tiffany can carry your safe and all your valuables away!

Yups ... they provide you a Hotel Safe in your room. Guess what?

They forgot to mount it to the floor / wall!! Sigh!

Imagine .. how SAFE would u feel ... if u find a "TORCH LIGHT"

in your elevator!! I mean ... why would you want to have a TORCH LIGHT

in the Elevator? Does it mean that the Elevator may have no Power????

Scarry thing to put into the Elevator! :)

On our FIRST Day when we arrived in Bangkok, this was

the wonderful raining weather that greeted us!

So wondering what to do ... and we didn't have lunch!

We thought... let's try the Baiyoke Sky Buffet .. since they were

having a 50% Discount for Hotel Guests.

OFF we went and bought our Meal Ticket (access entry point) to go up

to the 78th Floor of the Hotel to dine at their SKY BUFFET.

There was VARIETY ..... and a Pretty Long Buffet Spread from one

point of the Building and it goes around to the other side.

BUT sad to say!!! The Food Connoiseur within me would grade Sky Buffet a D!!

Yes yes.... it was a photo and Smiley Faces and Empty Dishes .. because we were famished.

BUT taste-wise ... it was not really palatable. SIGH!! So much for a 50% Discount.

OR mebbe that's why they wer giving a 50% Discount!! :) hehe

Guess the only PLUS about Sky Buffet was the View and the FREE ACCESS

that brings you up to the Deck. As u can see .. we ate till the Rain Stopped!

(And that's because it doesn't rain that long in Bangkok!!)

CAUGHT IN THE ACT!!!!!!!

We caught this hotel worker in the act.

She took her BIG HUGE Water Container and filled it up with COKE!!

hahaha ... FREE Drinks on the House! :)

So after the LUNCHies at Sky Buffet, we took the elevator up further to the

360 Revolving Roof Deck.

(Guess what? It was not revolving, they shut it down for maintenance!)

We walked around and even sat in a TUT TUT on the 80th Floor of the Building

Thank GOD ...the Sky was clear and the rain was gone!!

COS now its time for us to go SHOPPPPPPPPINGGGGG !!!
