Nathanael's been exercising daily on his swing . Apart from sitting down and going round and round, moving sideaways and up and down .... is that he is made to stand to hold on to the ropes whilst moving him gently on the swing. Nathanael was pretty blessed during Christmas (we've not blogged about the kids' Christmas yet) .. and Nathanael was blessed from 5Ku Por & 6 Ku Por with a Balancing Board. As part of Nathanael's therapy and daily exercise to stand, we've added a one step up, to aid Nathanael to balance when he stands. Nathanael still needs to learn to balance on his own, as you can see he's still leaning on the door! So pray for him yah!! A Close Up shot of the Balance Board. When i go weekly to HUKM, one of my weekly exercises is to work on my "standing". Check it out See I am holding myself and supporting myself as i Stand up in HUKM. In HUKM the therapy centre has cool equipments that can adjust to my height. :) How's this for a Side Profile Shot? I think the bar is a bit way toooo high!! :) I am gonna walk and run soon!!! YAY!! Baby Zoe is growing up and growing tall really fast. She's learning to stand up longer and loves to stand. Here is a couple of pictures where she pulled herself to stand up by our bed. See ... i am pulling myself up And i can reach the top part of daddie & mommie's bed Hmm ... let me see if i can pull myself up and over the mattress Heave Ho ....... Hmmmmph!! Guess I can't yet. As part of Nathanael's daily phsyio therapy, he is required to exercise each day by standing on his own in order to strengthen his leg, knee and hip muscles. (Before all of these, I never knew it took so much effort and muscles to just stand up .. kinda make us take for granted how easy to jump up and walk around .... :) This is one video where you do not see Nathanael smiling. In fact he's really really upset. He's not happy for the fact that he needs to stand so long, and to do it so often. I guess many times we don't realize what's the intention and the good of things that are good for us, eventhough as parents we explain to Nathanael how important it is for him to learn to stand and to exercise his legs in a standing posture. Check out Zoe Joy Lee. She just turned 7 months recently. She's super active and super inquisitive!! Everything also wanna taste! Check out my new Aerobic Push Ups! Lean on your knees at a 45% angle against the exercise ball and push up and down against it! And once u become a Black Belt Sifu like me, u can start using ONE hand!! Today our maid was helping Nathanael with his physio therapy. She made him stand by the door and got him to hold his little toy radio which Uncle Vic Su got him. We want to thank God for this as he used to retaliate and refuse to use his hands. This is good as it helps his hands get used to weight bearing. This excercise will help strengthen his hands & fingers! Every day is a new day, a NEW DAY for God to show us His miracles in Nathanael's life! :) Thank U JESUS! [tags : darentiff nathanael zoejoy ]

Weekend at Church sometime during the church service. Kak Mas brought Nathanael to the back of the church and got him to stand as part of his exercise ... Nathanael standing up by the wall with Minh standing next to him. See his cheeky face when he stands. And because he knows that Kak Mas is sitting in front of him, At times he will be naughty ..... Yes ... he will use his Bum, and push himself off the wal and wait for Kak Mas to catch him! Yeah lor ... naughty lor, cos instead of standing for 20 mins, he will stand for 5 mins and push himself away from the wall! :) After service, Zoe's friends came along. This is definitely another milestone for Nathanael. We are really glad to see that the strength at his knees are getting better. He's standing easier with less help. Nathanael standing up and he's gaining his balance as he leans back on the wall (in this instance a door) Nathanael's checking to see who is holding me. Ummmm.. there's no one holding me. Yay!!
