Nathanael using Hands to Play with Cable

This is new milestone for Nathanael. Tiff managed to catch the entire epsiode on video.

Nathanael was sitting next to our coffee table and he picked up a cable (reading light cable), which happened to be lying next to the cable. Nathanael has recently learnt to pick things up (ie our handphones, things he likes).

So we were very happy when he picked up the white cable (which was about 2cm wide). And not only did he pick up the cable, he began to play with it, swinging it back and forth ... and totally enjoying himself!!

That's a great milestone, cos he's learning to pick up objects and to play with them.

Nathanael's Year End Bridges School Partee

School's Closed! Its Holiday Time!!

Big celebration all over Malaysia as all schools closed for 1 1/2 months. Likewise the Bridges Early Intervention Programme School will also be closed during the school hols!

Nathanael had a Year End School Partee last Saturday at Bridges!

One of the Church Elders gave an opening speech at the beginning of the

Bridges Year End Partee! He shared about how grateful he is to Dolly and the other helpers who volunteers to show their love and care to kids with special needs!

present, so we had to help get his present out! :)

Even Zoe Joy was blest with a present during the games.

The next game was a Dance & Freeze game.

Most of the kids could really dance!

We went outside of the school and we played with Water Balloons

Nathanael had his turn to throw water balloons.

But perhaps it was the heat, the out doors, he was really cooperative! naughty!!

Another kid from Bridges, Jocelyn popped over to chat with Zoe Joy too.

Then , one of the helpers introduced Zoe Joy to the world of Water Balloons

And it was here that Zoe Joy had her first Water Balloon

burst on her lap! :) hehe

At the partee, we also had a Fishing Game!

Really pity those fishes in the tub!! The helpers (people with palm prints on their back)

were giving the instructions on what to do.

The rule was u were to scoop the net and catch as many

live fishes as u can into another tub of water.

(Thankfully no animal activist were around!)

Zoe Joy had a go with the fishing game.

Kak Mas was preparing Nathanael for the Fishing expedition.

But when Nathanael's turn came, he was still quite upset! See his face! :)

And everyone had a great makan time together

But had to continue on his Ketogenic Diet! But thankfully he didnt complaint.

And oh yes KFC sponsored some food too!

That was the yummylicious part :)

Nathanael's Music School at Anne MusikSchule

Nathanael loves Music, he's always tapping away with his hands to make sounds.

And music really intrigues him, he has a lot of favourite songs too.

Zoe Joy Driving Her First Car

Yesterday at church both Nathanael and Zoe Joy were enjoying themselves in the Toddlers Room.

Zoe Joy managed to drive her first CAR. It was rather cute, cos as she stuck her legs out, the only direction she knew how to push was forward thus the car went backwards. We unfrotunately missed that on video.

Zoe Joy Dance To The Music

This is short and cute music of how Zoe Joy moves and groves with the music.

If you are with Zoe and you start singing or humming to a tune that has a decent beat, you will see her bouncing up and down ... either when she's sitting or standing.

Nate & Zoe sent MA MA (grandma) off at KLIA

MA MA is going away for more than two weeks to USA. She's going to visit Kevin, Tawnya, Elijah & Noah at Grand Prairie, Dallas.

So on Deepavali nite, after our Jogathon, we took MA MA to the airport and help her check in her luggage and stuff. After that we spent some time with her before she departed into the terminal. Check out our farewell to MA MA.

When Nathanael is NOT Happy with his Standing Exercise

As part of Nathanael's daily phsyio therapy, he is required to exercise each day by standing on his own in order to strengthen his leg, knee and hip muscles. (Before all of these, I never knew it took so much effort and muscles to just stand up .. kinda make us take for granted how easy to jump up and walk around .... :)


This is one video where you do not see Nathanael smiling. In fact he's really really upset. He's not happy for the fact that he needs to stand so long, and to do it so often. I guess many times we don't realize what's the intention and the good of things that are good for us, eventhough as parents we explain to Nathanael how important it is for him to learn to stand and to exercise his legs in a standing posture.

See how he protest and shows his "color" when Mas (our maid) helps him and watches over him to ensure that he doesn't fall over.

Zoe Joy Feeding Herself BREAD .. YummY

Yes ... this is such an adorable video of Zoe Joy as she learns to feed herself. And she's doing lots and lots of crazy exercises nowadays, she practically climbs over anything and everyone. Her limbs are super flex and check out her split in the above pic!! :)


Now get ready to smile as Zoe Joy (first attempt) tries to feed herself with some bread. We have diced up the bread to make it easier for her to chew and swallow (her teeth are not out yet). And check out how she learns to pick up pieces of bread and puts it in her mouth!!

Nathanael learning to Draw

Nathanael is learning to use colors and paint and a canvas to put a picture together as part of his early development skills. Recently at Bridges Early Intervention School, teacher Dolly helped Nathanael to put design, color and create a Cake on canvas for Zoe Joy.

I think Nathanael successfully created an image which even the daddie cannot do!! :) Well done Nathanael and Teacher Dolly.

Nathanael & Zoe Joy's Contribution for the Social Concerned

We all did our part for the Social Concern today! We participated in the Jogathon / Fun Fair that was organized by our church at Jalan Barat Field (A&Ws ~ next to Amcorp Mall).

The youth and young adults were in charge of the game stalls and redemption booths and the gigantic inflatables.

Thankfully it rained last nite and not today, so we had pretty decent weather. The only unfortunate part was that some parts of the field were rather soggy!!

We took over the Jalan Barat Field.

Tents were scattered all over the football field.

We were located in the tent in front of the Gigantic Titanic inflatable. :)

The objective was to climb up the slippery slope (in yellow)

to make it to the top and slide down in the middle.
